For those who don't know about Vator.tv's competitions, I just wanted to highlight the benefits of such contests. These competitions are designed to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to be discovered and win big prizes, meet with prominent venture capitalists, or present in front of hundreds. Vator's latest competition is one that focuses on clean technology companies.

AlwaysOn, the online media company founded by Tony Perkins, has partnered with Vator.tv to find the top clean technology companies for AlwaysOn's GoingGreen Top 100 competition.

AlwaysOn

AlwaysOn is looking for top emerging companies that are creating new business opportunities in green technology. This includes private companies that are demonstrating significant market traction and pursuing game-changing technology in the following sectors:
  - Solar Energy
  - Biofuel & Agriculture

  - Clean Energy (not solar or biofuel)

  - Energy Storage Systems

  - Energy Management, Smart Grid & Energy Efficiency

  - Water Technology & Treatment
  - Green Materials, Green Buildings, Green Nano/Micro-Tech

  - Green Automobiles & Transportation

  - Clean Manufacturing & Clean Products

  - Resource Recovery & Waste Management

The winners of this competition will be officially announced in late August and will be honored at  GoingGreen, September 10th-12th at the University of California, Davis. They will also be featured in AO’s quarterly print "blogozine" and on the Vator.tv and AlwaysOn sites. In addition, thirty of the winning CEOs will have the opportunity to present their market strategies and business partnering objectives on the main stage at GoingGreen.  The contest began July 15 and ends August 20.

The winners are chosen based on five criteria: Innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz, and value creation. To sign up for the competition, please go to Vator's competition section.
